I am
Head of the Artistic Programming for the international residency program,
L'AiR Arts, based at
fiap in Paris's 14th arrondissement. This month, we will welcome eight artists from India, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and the UK for the first
Drawing Research Residency. While in Paris, residents will visit
Fondation Custodia to see the exhibition from the Pushkin Museum: "
Five Hundred Years of Master Drawings," the
Ecole Normale Superieure des Beaux Arts à Paris to see "
Leonardo da Vinci et la Renaissance Italienne." For our visit to commercial galleries, such as
Galerie Vallois, residents will hear from exhibiting artists and curators,
Lauren Coullard, and
The Drawer publishers, Sophie Toulouse and Barbara Soyer. Artists
Véronique Devoldere and
Chloé Briggs, directors at
Paris College of Art, will host a drawing performance workshop on the final day of the residency.
